Gaylord Opryland Hotel Flood Restoration

Nashville, Tennessee

After the historic flood in Nashville in May of 2010, D.F. Chase, Inc. was hired to lead the reconstruction of the nation's largest non-gaming hotel and resort and one of Nashville's most prominent landmarks. In just five months, D.F. Chase completed this $100 million, 800,000 square foot flood restoration project. D.F. Chase managed approximately 650 crew members seven days a week in 12– to 14–hour shifts. The restoration areas included the Cascades lobby, restaurant and bars; the Garden Atrium’s two restaurants; the 117 damaged guest rooms, the ground floor exhibit space and its supporting IT infrastructure, as well as a large conference breakout room and its supporting offices. Renovation to 600 guest rooms was also done during this time. Gaylord Opryland Hotel reopened its doors on time and on budget on November 15, 2010.
